- Abraham only sees
2 grandchildren and no great-grandchildren before he dies. So he did
not see the depth of God fulfilling His promise to Abraham.
- Jacob was 77 when
he tricked Esau to get his birthrite. Then fled to Laban.
- Isaac was 137
years old when he thought he was dying and Jacob got the birthrite.
But he really doesn't die until 43 years later. He lives 12 years after
Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers. Thus seeing all his grandchildren
grow up.
- God blesses Isaac
with a life longer than his father Abraham.
- God allows Isaac
to see the beginning of the fulfillment of His promise to his father
Abraham.
- Jacob was in his
80's when he got married (77 + 7yr labor for wife).
- Jacob and Esau
are almost 100 when they meet again.
- Joseph lives another
71 years in Egypt after he brings his family to live with him in Egypt.
